RetaiN

What is RetaiN?

RetaiN is a combination of slow-release phosphate and nitrogen, and is a good product to choose when you want to apply both of these nutrients at once.

The phosphorus in RetaiN comes in the form of RPR, which means this product is best applied on soils with a pH of less than 6.0, and where rainfall exceeds 800 mm per annum. If soil pH is between 6.0 and 6.3, RetaiN can still be used as long as there is sufficient annual rainfall.

The nitrogen in RetaiN is coated with Agrotain, a substance that slows the loss of nitrogen through volatilisation, improving nitrogen efficiency, especially under more challenging conditions.

Using RetaiN

RetaiN is a good choice as a maintenance fertiliser when you want to provide your pasture with a boost of nitrogen at the same time. Applying both nutrients together can save money on cartage and spreading.

RetaiN should not be stored either in bulk or bag form after it has been collected, but instead should be applied immediately.
